Project description

This project supports the European Commission (DG CLIMA/DG ENER) in implementing the EU Methane Emissions Regulation (EUMR) for the energy sector. The main objective is to develop and publish Methane Performance Profiles (MPPs) for EU Member States, third countries, and companies supplying fossil energy (oil, gas, coal) to the EU market. These profiles will increase transparency and comparability of methane emissions, regulatory systems, and mitigation actions, leveraging data from the Methane Transparency Database (MTD) and other sources.
