Oil and gas companies face barriers in quantifying and managing methane emissions credibly. Accurate inventories are essential for corporate climate action and alignment with international reporting frameworks such as OGMP 2.0. 

Carbon Limits deploys and continuously improves Mist, a software platform for methane emissions management in the oil and gas sector. The firm provides technical support, user training, helpdesk services, and develops new software features to strengthen data quality and usability. 

Since early 2023, Mist 2.0 is used by over 40 companies to create credible methane inventories and inform mitigation decisions. The platform integrates scenario analysis and reconciliation modules to enhance corporate methane management practices. 

This work is relevant for oil and gas operators, regulators, and investors requiring transparent, standardized methane reporting and mitigation planning across global operations.
