The Methane Camp is an intensive, one-week course covering all aspects of methane management in the oil and gas sector. Participants gain an overview of the processes that lead to methane emissions, as well as the techniques used to detect and quantify them. They also learn about the strategies used to mitigate them, including technological solutions, regulatory frameworks and best practices. The training is based on an active, participative approach to facilitate learning. Each topic is covered using case studies, games, collaborative workshops and role-playing exercises. A session was held in Oslo in June 2025 with 5 participants.
