Methane Management Training Course - Methane Camp

Project description
Oil and gas operators face growing pressure to manage methane emissions but often lack integrated technical and regulatory knowledge. Effective methane management requires understanding emission sources, detection methods, quantification techniques, and mitigation strategies.
Carbon Limits delivers The Methane Camp, an intensive one-week training course covering all aspects of methane management in the oil and gas sector. The programme combines technical expertise with participatory learning methods, using case studies, collaborative workshops, and role-playing exercises to operationalise detection, quantification, and mitigation approaches.
Participants engage with technological solutions, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices through active learning formats. A session held in Oslo in June 2025 equipped five participants with practical skills to implement methane management strategies.
The training strengthens technical capacity for operators, regulators, and technical staff responsible for emissions monitoring and compliance in oil and gas operations.
