Credible methane monitoring is essential to national climate commitments, yet many countries and companies lack standardized frameworks to measure emissions. 

Carbon Limits supports UNEP's International Methane Emissions Observatory (IMEO) by delivering a global Methane Mitigation Training Series and developing sector-specific modules for coal and oil and gas. The firm strengthens the Oil and Gas Methane Partnership 2.0 (OGMP 2.0) through technical guidance, independent auditing, and verification principles for methane reporting. 

Training reaches government and national oil company representatives globally, with materials adapted locally and sustained through a digital alumni network. The work clarifies reporting standards, strengthens integrity of methane disclosures, and operationalizes internationally recognized monitoring practices. 

This is relevant for national climate agencies, oil and gas regulators, and development institutions advancing methane mitigation.
