Project description

Carbon Limits will improve the conceptual definition, conduct the detailed assessment, and prepare a pre-feasibility study for projects related to the implementation of:

• Vapor Recovery Systems in 6 fields
• Flare Gas Recovery implementation in 10 fields
• Flare Gas Measurement for reliable measurement of gas flow for 102 flares
• Implementation of Leak Detection and Repair Program for 3 companies

These projects have been prioritized for World Bank Global Flaring and Methane Reduction (GFMR) funding in Egypt. Carbon Limits, along with partners Doris Group, will improve the conceptual definition, conduct the detailed assessment, and prepare a pre-feasibility study for each of the four project types. The project supports the conceptual definition of prioritized projects, enhances the World Bank's and GFMR's understanding of the projects, inform GFMR post-assignment screening and selecting of each proposal for the implementation of a GFMR grant.
