Project description

EDF and Africa Practice, with support from Carbon Limits, are implementing a technical assistance program focused on methane emissions management in the oil and gas sector across several African countries. The initiative primarily targets stakeholders in Algeria and Angola, while also maintaining ongoing support for Libya and considering expansion to Egypt, Tanzania, Ghana, and Senegal. The program aims to strengthen the capabilities of local regulators, national oil companies, and private sector actors, particularly in countries that have received less international support, through coordinated and sustained engagement.
