Marginal Abatement Cost Curve (MACC) Guide to support Morocco's NDC

Project description

This project is part of the second phase of the "Promesse Climat" initiative, focused on moving from commitment to impact in Morocco’s climate strategy. Commissioned by the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development (MTEDD) , the project aims to support the implementation and update of Morocco’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement. To reach that objective, Carbon Limits delivers to the MTEDD a comprehensive guide and a training regarding the use Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACC) as a decision-support tool to evaluate, compare, and prioritize mitigation actions based on their cost-effectiveness and emission reduction potential. The initiative will strengthen governance, financing, and transparency for climate action, and provide practical guidance for integrating MACC into national and sectoral climate policies.
