Training description

This training explores the main sources of methane emissions across oil and gas operations and the technologies available to reduce them.

Content: Participants examine emission sources such as fugitive leaks, flaring, storage tanks, compressors, pneumatic equipment and operational venting, alongside mitigation approaches including leak detection and repair, vapour recovery, equipment replacement and improved maintenance. The training provides a practical foundation for identifying emission sources and evaluating methane reduction opportunities.

Format: In person

Who is this for: Designed for both technical and non-technical professionals, the training aims to build methane expertise and strengthen a global community of practitioners working to reduce emissions.

This activity forms part of Carbon Limits’ Methane Camp but can also be delivered as a standalone training.
