Reducing Emissions from Gas Flaring

Training description
This training provides a practical understanding of gas flaring and its environmental, health and business implications.
Content: Participants examine how flare design, operating conditions and combustion efficiency influence emissions, and explore strategies to reduce flared volumes, optimise performance and recover associated gas. The module covers utilisation options such as power generation, reinjection, gas processing, LNG and CNG. Applied case studies help participants evaluate technical and economic barriers, compare mitigation opportunities and identify practical pathways for developing and scaling flare-reduction projects.
Format: In person
Who is this for: Designed for both technical and non-technical professionals, the training aims to build methane expertise and strengthen a global community of practitioners working to reduce emissions.
This activity forms part of Carbon Limits’ Methane Camp but can also be delivered as a standalone training.
