Training description

This training provides an overview the technologies available to detect and quantify methane emissions.

Content: Participants compare solutions ranging from satellites and aircraft to drones, vehicles, fixed sensors and handheld instruments, examining their respective strengths and limitations. Through realistic scenarios, they assess how factors such as operating environment, site access, detection thresholds, deployment methods and quantification requirements influence technology selection. Participants also explore how complementary technologies can be combined to meet specific monitoring objectives.

Format: In person

Who is this for: Designed for both technical and non-technical professionals, the training aims to build methane expertise and strengthen a global community of practitioners working to reduce emissions.

This activity forms part of Carbon Limits’ Methane Camp but can also be delivered as a standalone training.
