Enabling CCS Deployment: Regulatory, Financial and Coordination Levers

Training description
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) can play an important role in reducing emissions, but technical solutions alone are not enough to enable large-scale deployment. This course explores the policy frameworks, financial mechanisms and coordination efforts needed to make CCS projects viable and scalable.
Designed for decision-makers and professionals without a technical background, it explains how carbon pricing, public funding, business models, regulation and stakeholder collaboration support project development. By the end of the course, participants will understand the main barriers to CCS deployment, the tools available to overcome them, and how governments, industry and investors can work together to accelerate implementation and achieve climate goals.
