Training description

Digital Collage is a 3.5 hour collaborative workshop that helps participants understand the environmental impacts of digital technologies, from device manufacturing and resource extraction to energy consumption, data transmission, and electronic waste.

Format: Through a card-based exercise grounded in scientific sources, participants build a shared understanding of the digital ecosystem and its environmental footprint. The workshop concludes with a discussion on practical actions, helping participants identify opportunities to reduce the impact of digital technologies and promote more sustainable digital practices within their work and daily lives.

Who is it for: Employees, managers, IT professionals, sustainability teams, and decision-makers who want to better understand the environmental impacts of digital technologies and promote more sustainable digital practices.

Learning outcomes: Participants gain a systems-level understanding of the environmental footprint of digital technologies, explore the links between digital activities and sustainability impacts, and identify practical actions to reduce the environmental footprint of digital services, devices, and infrastructure.
