Developing Methane Emissions Inventories

Training description
This training introduces the main approaches to developing accurate methane emissions inventories for oil and gas operations.
Content: Participants explore the different OGMP 2.0 reporting levels and progressively build an inventory using facility information, equipment data, emission factors and direct measurements. Through hands-on exercises, they identify emission sources from technical diagrams, develop representative sampling strategies and calculate measurement-based emission factors. The training highlights how inventory quality can be improved over time.
Format: In person
Who is this for: Designed for both technical and non-technical professionals, the training aims to build methane expertise and strengthen a global community of practitioners working to reduce emissions.
This activity forms part of Carbon Limits’ Methane Camp but can also be delivered as a standalone training.
