Training description

Carbon finance is increasingly explored as a way to support CCS project development, but its role, opportunities and limitations are often misunderstood. This course provides an introduction to the main carbon market mechanisms relevant to CCS projects, including carbon credits, Article 6, voluntary and compliance markets, and project eligibility requirements. Participants will gain an understanding of how carbon finance can contribute to project revenues, the factors influencing credit value, and how carbon markets can complement other funding sources to support CCS deployment.
