Basics of Industrial Carbon Management (CCS, CCU, CDR)

Training description
Industrial Carbon Management (ICM) is becoming an essential part of global climate strategies, but the terminology and concepts can be difficult to navigate. This course provides a practical introduction to Industrial Carbon Management, covering Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU), and Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR), including key approaches such as BECCS and DACCS.
Designed for decision-makers and professionals who are not carbon experts, the course explains the climate challenge, the role of carbon management, and how different approaches contribute to reducing and removing CO₂ emissions. By the end of the course, participants will understand the main concepts, compare different carbon management pathways, and better evaluate their role in achieving climate goals.
