Project description

Under the Oil for Development (OfD) programme, the Norwegian Government is offering assistance to countries in Africa, Asia, Middle East and Latin America on how to improve the management of their oil and gas resources. Through this programme, the agency is convening a series of webinars for OfD countries (initially planned as a face-to-face meeting) to learn more about methane emissions, including estimation methodology, best practices for reductions, and considerations for policymaking.

This series is organized in collaboration with the Norwegian Environmental Agency, UN Environment Programme, the CCAC, and their partners in the Global Methane Alliance. Representatives from the OfD-countries Angola, Ghana, Mozambique, Sudan, Tanzania, Iraq and Myanmar with Oil for Development Programmes, in addition to Nigeria, participate in this webinar series.

Carbon Limits took part in and led the webinars in collaboration with UN Environment Programme and Norwegian Environmental Agency.
