Project description

This project supports the development of Mitigation Activity Design Documents (MADDs) for policy-based approaches promoting renewable energy deployment in Morocco and Senegal. The MADDs are being developed under Gold Standard’s new Policy Requirements and Procedures, including the application of the new Tool for Determining the Additionality of a Policy.

Building on technical, regulatory and financial studies commissioned by GGGI, the work establishes robust programme-level frameworks that enable policy approaches to be validated and registered under the Gold Standard. The project aims to support the generation of high-integrity mitigation outcomes that may be authorised for international transfer under Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement.
