Project description

The Indonesia PHE CCS training project is a strategic capacity-building initiative for Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) financed by IFC, aimed at unlocking Indonesia’s potential for developing a robust carbon capture and storage (CCS) industry. The first phase of the project included Carbon Limits carrying out a webinar covering the global status of CCUS, technical insights into the CCS value chain (capture, transport, storage), and a case study on Norway’s Northern Lights project, followed by an open forum to identify topics for deeper exploration. The initiative seeks to empower PHE and other stakeholders to launch economically viable domestic and transboundary carbon storage projects.
