Indonesia PHE Carbon, Capture and Store Capacity Building Exercise

Project description
Indonesia's emerging carbon capture and storage (CCS) industry faces technical and commercial readiness gaps. Operators need practical knowledge to develop economically viable carbon storage projects. Transboundary storage frameworks add regulatory complexity.
Carbon Limits delivers technical training for Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) covering the CCS value chain, from capture to storage, supported by case studies from operational projects. The program equips Indonesia's national oil company to evaluate domestic and transboundary carbon storage opportunities in Southeast Asia's hydrocarbon basins.
The initiative strengthens PHE's capacity to assess project feasibility and commercial structures. It enables informed decision-making on storage infrastructure investment and cross-border collaboration.
This work is relevant for state-owned enterprises, oil and gas operators, and development banks advancing CCS deployment in emerging markets.
