Project description

The assignment involves supporting the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) and Perspectives Climate Research in piloting and refining a suite of Article 6 tools (II-AMT) designed to operationalize the Paris Agreement’s carbon market mechanisms. Carbon Limits leads the piloting of the baseline tool, manages expert engagement, and contributes to the additionality and MRV tool refinement. The project includes close collaboration with international experts, regular reporting, and the public dissemination of results. The work aims to ensure the tools are practical, robust, and aligned with Article 6.4 requirements, supporting the transition from Kyoto Protocol methodologies to Paris Agreement standards.
