GHG Reporting Assessment and OGMP 2.0 Support of an Oil and Gas Company

Project description

Carbon Limits supported an oil and gas company in its efforts to align with OGMP 2.0 Level 5 requirements and strengthen internal and external GHG reporting processes. The engagement focused on assessing the accuracy, completeness and alignment of the company’s current GHG emissions reporting methodologies (methane, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide; scopes 1, 2 and 3) against industry best practices and international standards, including OGMP 2.0, to ensure robust, transparent and credible disclosures.

Support included delivering a gap analysis and roadmap for achieving OGMP 2.0 Level 5 compliance within three years, identifying and categorizing all methane emission sources, designing and developing methane emissions data collection protocols and templates, and assisting with the submission of the first OGMP 2.0 report while developing a methane inventory using Mist.

Additionally, Carbon Limits built internal capacity and ensured a smooth handover for sustained excellence in emissions management and reporting.
