Project description

Carbon Limits is responsible for evaluating the proposed methodology for “Just Transition through the Early Phase-out of Coal Fired Power Plants.” 

Key tasks include:

  • Provide feedback on general validity of methodology to ensure real, measurable GHG emission reductions from activities that may be proposed under the same, 
  • Reviewing the acceptability of quantification approaches for emission reductions, 
  • Identifying any necessary applicability conditions and regulatory requirements for the projects covered by the methodology that shall be addressed by the methodology developer, 
  • Assessing the adequacy and completeness of the parameters for monitoring emissions . 

The proposal for alternative monitoring methods and the assessment of the scientific-technical correctness and cogency to strengthen the robustness of the methodology is also covered.
