Emission Trading System Trainings for Regulated Sectors in Mexico

Project description
The implementation of the emissions trading system pilot program in Mexico has generated a variety of lessons learned as well as highlighted the need for capacity building towards the implementation of the first phase in early 2023.
To contribute to the above, Carbon Limits was contracted to design and implement an ETS virtual training for an audience of around 800 participants who are part of the 12 regulated sectors in Mexico.
This training is designed to address the main concerns that companies have expressed to the responsible authorities (Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources), for which work is being carried out on the development of more than 20 basic and intermediate-advanced level sessions, with national and international experts who share their experience in ETS. Some of the topics to address in the training are emissions trading, MRV and preparation of the organization (i.e., carbon portfolio management).
