Project description

Support to the World Bank in the preparation and delivery of a regional workshop under the Standardized Crediting Framework (SCF) and Article 6 (A6) of the Paris Agreement. The project supports the World Bank’s efforts to build capacity for results-based climate finance and international transfers under Article 6, focusing on mitigation programs that support energy access for low-income communities. The main objectives and activities include:

  • Preparation of Workshop Materials: Develop the agenda, training materials, and session content for the SCF/A6 regional workshop.
  • Workshop Delivery: Deliver and co-facilitate the workshop, including presentations and interactive sessions to build capacity among participants.
  • Reporting: Prepare a summary report on the workshop’s discussions and achievements.

Carbon Limits collects and analyzes data on key readiness factors for countries to engage in ITMO transactions, with a focus on blue carbon. This includes reviewing national commitments, NDCs, existing policies and restoration efforts, market experience, institutional capacity, and participation in international frameworks, as well as identifying opportunities for Article 6 capacity building.
