Project description

The team analysed work on mitigation options in Sri Lanka's electricity sector from different policy and planning documents, based on literature survey, data from national utility, and interviews with experts. We estimated the opportunity cost to meet Sri Lanka’s power sector NDC, as well as the abatement cost of the Sri Lanka Renewable Energy Program. We assess the identified opportunity cost in the context of incentivizing both government for transferring credits to CPF and the private sector to invest in the program.
