Project description

This policy analysis explores how Article 6 of the Paris Agreement can be used to increase the ambition of country’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). This includes interventions by the acquiring country, eligibility rules for Article 6 cooperation, enhanced transparency & reporting, and capacity building to support higher host country ambition. It also includes an overview of options for Overall Mitigation of Global Emissions (OMGE) and tools for assessing the ambition levels of country’s NDC.
