Training description

Discover the practical solutions available today to reduce coal mine methane emissions. This module presents proven mitigation approaches for the main emission sources, including methane drainage and utilization, ventilation air methane destruction technologies, abandoned mine methane management, and leak detection and repair programs. Participants will gain insights into the technical, operational, economic, and policy considerations that influence project implementation and success. Through real-world examples, the module highlights how methane mitigation can support climate commitments, improve operational performance, and create value from captured methane resources.
