Training description

High-quality methane data is essential for credible reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective mitigation. This module introduces the leading frameworks, regulations, and methodologies used to quantify and report coal mine methane emissions. Participants will learn the strengths and limitations of emission factors, direct measurements, and emerging monitoring technologies, including continuous monitoring systems, drones, aircraft, and satellites. The module also explores the increasing importance of measurement-based reporting under industry initiatives and regulations.

Format: Self-paced online learning (pre-recorded lectures and quizzes) followed by a 1.5-hour live interactive session with an expert trainer.
