Carbon Limits, in partnership with Endrava, has supported a strategy development process of an international energy company, focusing on business opportunities related to biogas in the Nordic region. The project team had the responsibility for structuring relevant knowledge and perspectives for biogas in the Nordic region, as well as facilitate discussions of strategic implications with the client. The external factors studied by Carbon Limits comprise regulatory frameworks in relevant countries, feedstock potential and price expectations, current production capacities and expansion plans, expected market demand evolution and competitive environment. The project comprised detailed assessment of market opportunities and competitive landscape for biogas within various industries and a number of segments within the transport sector (LDV, HDV, marine and rail), as well as detailed mapping of feedstock availability and markets and production capacities for raw biogas, biomethane and liquefied biogas.
