Project

South Corridor

EBRD asked Carbon Limits to analyze the greenhouse gas (GHG) emission impacts of bringing natural gas from the Caspian Sea to Turkey and Europe through the so-called Southern Gas Corridor (SGC).  Carbon Limits developed an analytical approach for calculating GHG impacts and provided estimates of emissions impacts in end use markets and in energy supply chains indirectly being effected (e.g. Russian and LNG gas imports to Europe). A draft methodology for assessment of GHG impacts of greenfield gas projects was also developed.
