The purpose of this project activity is to recover gas that is currently, and in the future would be, flared at the Asuokpu/Umutu Marginal Field located in block OML 38 in Nigeria and to deliver it to the domestic market for productive use as an energy product. Carbon Limits has assisted Platform Petroleum Ltd. in developing the project and securing CDM registration (the project was registered on 16 October 2010; see http://cdm.unfccc.int/Projects/DB/SGS-UKL1274957530.75/view). The project is still under implementation, and Carbon Limits is providing assistance to prepare for monitoring, verification and reporting of emission reductions.
