Carbon Limits, in partnership with Endrava, THEMA and Skagerak Naturgass performed a preliminary study to evaluate the potential for increased biogas production and consumption in a key Norwegian region. The project had the following key objectives:
- Explain which markets and uses are most relevant for biogas in the specific context of the region.
- Evaluate how the county municipality can help develop these markets as both actors and supporters.
- Assess how existing infrastructure, both natural gas networks and raw gas networks, can be leveraged to increase the use of biogas in the county.
- Consider how increased use of biogas would impact the climate emissions of the region.
