Carbon Limits completed a training on MRV of GHG emissions from the oil and gas sector

In the last week of March, the Norwegian Environment Agency together with Carbon Limits has conducted training on Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) of GHG emissions from the oil and gas sector for the national authorities of Ghana, as well as the oil and gas operators in the country. Over 30 participants took part in a 3-day workshop, learning more about existing MRV frameworks for climate mitigation. Recent developments on Paris Agreement Rulebook were also discussed as they highlight the importance of adequate greenhouse gas MRV and robust inventories.

The workshop was part of the ongoing cooperation between Ghana and Norway under the Oil for Development programme.
