Carbon Limits is an active player in the emerging carbon market. With substantial experience in all phases of the carbon market, as well as energy and development, Carbon Limits assist clients in monetizing carbon benefits.
Carbon Limits take part in carbon market transactions, primarily through the development of carbon credit revenues under the Kyoto Mechanisms (JI and CDM). Carbon Limits provides services that support the registration as required by the rules and procedures of the CDM Executive Board, JI Supervisory Committee and national governments. The company has under development, for clients, projects representing more than 50 million tons CO2e in emission reduction for the Kyoto period.
Carbon Limits also develops and take ownership, with partners, in renewable energy investments and in projects that take gas to markets (e.g. capture and marketing of gas from flares, landfills and coal mines).
The main sectors are the upstream oil and gas sector, energy efficiency and renewable energy, primarily hydro and bio-fuels. The geographical focus in on Russia and the Baltics, West-Africa, Southern Africa and Middle East where the company has extensive experience and network, including local partners and governmental contacts.
